Blogger of the week Term 2 Week 4

Namaste Whanau and Friends!

This week we have been busy learning hockey skills. Yesterday we played a really fun game where we had to match up with a number on the other team and try to get a goal, it was lots of fun but pretty tricky.
We have been learning the blend sl, so we made some silly sl sentences:
The sleepy sloth slapped the slave and the slave ate the slug. Harris
A sleepy slug slept in a slipper. Dyuti
The sloth fell on the slippery slug. Timmy
The slow sloth slapped the slug in the jungle. Tyrell
The Tuis reading group have been going to room 4 to learn extra things about reading. They have been having lots of fun.
Last week we shared our superheros at assembly. We have been working hard to write character description about them.
We have made a literacy learning wall so that we can share our love for books, reading and writing.

Next week we are looking forward to starting netball skills and we hope the playground will be up and running. Also there is a race on to see who will hit 100 books first! Who will it be????

Goldilocks and the 3 bears play

Today we were lucky to have the kiwis reading group perform their play Goldilocks and the Three Bears. They knew all the words and read really loudly. We enjoyed watching their performance!

When it's too cold to go outside for a run we have a bit of fun with the chicken dance!

Hockey Skills

Today we learnt some hockey skills. It was pretty chilly but we soon warmed up running around with our sticks!

Welcome to Term 2!

Hello everyone! Welcome to Term 2. We are very excited this term because we have a focus on reading. We are going to do some pretty fun stuff with books, so keep an eye out!

This friday at assembly we are hosting, which means we are organising and talking.

Next week we are having school photos on friday...

I hope we all have our best smiles on like we do in this picture.
