Fundamentals Fun!
Wow what an exciting 3 days we have had a the stadium! We have played ball games, learnt water safety and improved our swimming skills. Check out the pictures to see what we got up to.

Week 7 Blogger of the week
Namaste family and friends!
This week we have started to learn about time. We have learnt some cool stuff so far like:
"If you don't know the time you'll be late for everything" Izzy.
"The stars aren't in the same place every day" Harris.
"The moon changes different shapes every night" Lucy.
"There are 12 months of the year" Michala.
"At 10.30 it'd morning tea time" Sophie.
"At 12.30 it's lunch time" Jess.
"If it's 3 o'clock it's home time" Oliver.
"At 9 o'clock school starts" Saffron.
"There are 24 hours in a day" Ella.
"There are 60 minutes in an hour" Ashya.
"There are 60 seconds in a minute" Harris.
"There are 7 days in a week" Megan.
"There are 4 season in a year" Jess.
"There are 365 days in a year" Oliver.
We still have lots to learn about time and are looking forwards to it!
Yesterday we had netball skills again, it was lots of fun. We played lots of different games, we will play some of these again in class time.
Also yesterday we watched the school gymnastics team practice. A few of our sisters are going to the stadium today to compete, we wish them luck!
Next week we are off to the stadium to learn about fundamental skills. We will also be swimming and having lots and lots of fun! We are so super excited about going! We need to remember to bring our togs, drink, lots of lunch, running shoes, warm school jumper and everything MUST be named!

Who was reading to us today???
Yay! Mr Hewson came to read to us today. He read Pete the Sheep. We liked listening to a story about sheep and Mr Hewson asked us lots of questions. The sheep sheep was pretty funny too!

Special Stories
This week we have been having stories read to us by special people in our school. Yesterday Mrs Sim came and read "Grandpas Shorts". It was interesting because none of us knew who she was! But now we know that she has the important job of paying the teachers and organising the money for our school.
Today we had Mrs Turbitt come in and read us "Rosie to the Rescue". She explained that the book comes from the milk people to promote milk. She told us that Rosie has her own website with games and stuff so we have linked it to our blog to have a look at.
I wonder who will be coming to read to us tomorrow?

Blogger of the week- Week 6
Ahoj family and friends! (Hello in Czech)
This week has been a very busy week for us. We've been to the library in town on the bus, we watched Bob Bickerton, learnt netball skills as well as all of our other learning.
We have been learning about word families. This week we focussed on an- Here are some of the words that go with an- fan, van, began, bran, can, nan, pan, Japan, Megan, man, tan, Stan, scan and a few more!
Tyson got back from Australia yesterday and we are hoping he has brought the good weather back with him because it has been a week of rain.
At the moment we are learning about recycling and reusing things. What do you do at home to recycle, reduce, reuse and repair?

Reduce, reuse, recycle!
Today room 7 came to our classroom with a pile if rubbish! So we decided to make some new containers for our class instead of throwing stuff out. Check out what we created...

Bob Bickerton
Today we watched Bob Bickerton perform a story from 160 and years ago. He uses some really cool instruments, we might try to make some. Ms Zydenbos and some of the other teachers and children had a dance too, it was pretty funny!

Blogger of the week! Week 5 Term 2
Aloha everyone!
We have been working hard in maths at the moment and we have a basic facts speed test we do everyday. We now have 4 people in the 44 club (that means they got all the answers correct in 3 minutes). Well done Saffron, Ashya, Ella and Tom! Who will be next to join the club???
We have also been reading lots and lots and lots. Jess, Lucy and Rosa have all read 100 nights! Wahoo!
This week we have been bringing in photos of ourselves reading in funny places, come into class to check them out!
Next week we are looking forward to our library trip on Monday. We also have a performance from Bob Bickerton on Tuesday and Tyson returns from his holiday in Australia on Thursday.
