Our new whisper phones

Today we were very lucky because Mr Western dropped off our brand new whisper phones. These help us at reading time because we can read very quietly into them and hear our own voices back loud!

Blogger of the week. Term 3 Week 1

Tena Koutou

We have made an exciting start to the term already!
We have started to learn about bees, Glenn from More FM recorded us for the radio, we have been practicing cross country everyday, drawing bees and we are learning about contractions in our reading too.

Next week we are looking forward to having our big race on tuesday around Harling Park. Tyson really wants to win and has been practicing lots.

Also in the next couple of weeks we have a few birthdays coming up!

Next Thursday the Junior football starts at lunchtime, room 8 will be the winners! (Fingers Crossed!)

Have a great weekend :)

Kids Corner

Today we had Glenn from More FM in to ask us some questions that will be on the breakfast show next week! We are all excited about hearing ourselves on the radio. What's even more exciting is that some or our answers will be heard not only in Blenheim but around all of New Zealand! Make sure you check us out at 6.20am and 7.50am every morning next week on 92.9 FM.

How to draw a Honey Bee

Click on the link below to practice drawing bees. It looks tricky but it's actually not.

Hello Room 8

Kia Ora Room 8!
I hope your holidays are going well and you are keeping busy even though it's raining outside. Seth and I have been busy playing games, colouring, reading and catching up with friends. On Monday we went for a big bike ride on my new bike, that was lots of fun! If you see this message leave a comment below and let me know how your holidays are going and don't forget to find things out about bees.

Week 9 Blogger of the week

Kia Ora family and friends!

We are very excited today because it's our last day of term and now we get to sleep in for two weeks, Tyrell is most excited about that part!

This week our room has changed a little bit because Mrs Zyndenbos gave us her old couch. Lewis likes it because now the library is down the back. Izzy and Dyuti like it because the computers have moved. Miss Green is still not too sure about the change around and she might make some other changes in the holidays.

Last week we went and had the best time at the stadium.
"I liked soccer the best because I got a goal" Tom.
"My favourite part was going in the pool because we learnt water safety" Ashya.
"My favourite part was jumping into the boat" Spohie.
"The best part was when group 6 won the t-shirts" Lewis.

The funniest part of the week was when Oliver learnt what 'do not enter' means! "it means do not go in or you might get trapped in the toilet!" Oliver. Luckily one of the lifeguards rescued him and neither of them got wet!

This week we have been learning about time! We now know o'clock and half past time. We are getting pretty clever.

Now we are off for the holidays, we can't wait to get back to school in 2 weeks to find out lots about bees. If you have any information to share with us bring it in next term. We also can't wait for cross country, the lunchtime football tournament and to Miss Green!

Have a fun and safe holidays :)
